4.0 October 2016	Welcome screen redesign HDP’s main screen has been redesigned to be more intuitive and offer easier navigation for tablet and touchscreen users. Customizable report headers Report header can be tailored to include your company logo, a different report title, your company info, etc for the following reports: Specs by Location, Specs by Location (wide), Specs by Trade, Bidders List, and Planned Draw Schedule. Spec Cost Update add-on included as standard feature Formerly an add-on purchase, the Spec Cost Update tool is a standard feature included in Housing Developer Pro 4.0, allowing for automated Unit Price updates. Learn more about the Spec Cost Update tool. RTF report enhancements Updated existing RTF reports and added more RTF tags. The Cover Page report has been converted to RTF format. Check In issue resolved Resolved Check In issue that caused some data to not fully check in. Support for Windows 8 and Windows 10 Housing Developer Pro software is compatible with the Windows 8 and Windows 10 operating systems.
3.5.14 September 2012	Support for HDP Online Bidding HDP Online Bidding is a service offered through Housing Developer Pro that simplifies the process of getting work write-ups out to contractors and collecting bids from them. Contractors submit their bids online and when the bid period ends, you click a button to have bids automatically imported into HDP. Draw Worksheet report fixes Fixed several issues with population and calculation of data within the Draw Worksheet. If you are seeing these issues, please download HDP 3.5.14. Bid Amount Total added to Bid Comparison report If your Bid Request is set to require bidding at the line-item level of detail, the Bid Comparison report now has a full Total for the entire bid amount, in addition to the existing Location or Trade subtotals. “Pre-Bid Site Visit” added to Specs by Location and Specs by Trade header HDP 3.5.12 removed Walk-Through Date from the Specs by Location and Specs by Trade header. Walk-Through Date has been added back in but is now called Pre-Bid Site Visit (as of version 3.5.12). Pre-Bid Site Visit information will only populate if a Bid Request has been created and is chosen from the drop-down menu before printing or print-previewing the report; both date and time will show in the header. Confirm updates in Spec Cost Update add-on The Spec Cost Update add-on has you confirm that you want to apply the updated costs. Reports in RTF format fixed Fixed issue that prevents you from opening reports that are in RTF format. You will likely experience this if and only if you’re running the Windows XP operating system so please download HDP 3.5.14 to resolve the issue. Updated Getting Started Guide The Getting Started Guide (comes with your download) has been updated, featuring the latest screenshots, additional content on customizing the Library of Specs, and new content covering Bid Requests and the Spec Cost Updating add-on.
3.5.12 February 2012	Bidding By Line-Item HDP now supports line-item based bidding, in addition to the previous options of bidding by trade and by project total. Support for Bid Requests Bids are now grouped under a Bid Request. An address can have several Bid Requests, where each unique Request identifies what work is available for bidding and how much detail the bidder should provide. Bid Comparison Report Compares up to four contractor bids per Bid Request, helping you select the contractor that suits your needs for that specific rehab project. Spec Cost Updating Add-On This version supports a Spec Cost Updating tool. HDP uses your bid history (at the line-item level of detail) to update specs’ unit costs. You choose which bid information to include or not, then HDP calculates new unit costs for you. You manually approve the specs you want to update. Learn more about the Spec Cost Updating tool. N/A option for Unit Cost of Spec Added functionality to set Unit Cost for spec to “No costs are associated with this specification,” used mostly for some General Requirement specs. These specs appear on Specs by Location and Specs by Trade reports with Unit Price and Total Price as N/A but are filtered out of bidding and draw tracking. Reports in RTF format open in WordPad To give additional formatting, style, and printing options, reports in RTF format open in WordPad. 3.5.8 September 2009	Draw Tracking Accessible While “Checked Out" When using the Check Out feature, users can access draw tracking functionality. Library of Specs Preview of Spec Descriptions The Library of Specs now features a preview of spec descriptions without having to open each spec. Just hold your mouse over the spec description you want to see and it will show in the preview pane. Location Name now in Global Lists Location Name has been added to Global Lists and can be modified. Ability to Insert a Page Break in an RTF Report You can insert a page break in any Rich Text Format (RTF) reports. Installer Detects Administrative Rights In order to install Housing Developer Pro, you must be logged into your computer as administrator. The HDP installer will detect this setting and alert you to log-in as administrator. Record Number of Elderly Residents in Household From the Contact Manager, Customer Details has the option to record the number of elderly residents.
3.5.6 October 2008	Ability to Import and Export Specs Import and export specs, either individually or as an entire checklist. Support for Custom RTF Reports You can further customize Housing Developer Pro by editing the template for some existing reports and creating custom reports in Rich Text Format (RTF). Spellchecking Support for spellchecking has been added for several fields. You can manually run spellchecking or have HDP automatically perform it by underlining misspelled words. Record Contact Information for the Owner of an address From Address Properties, the address Owner is a Contact in the Contact Manager.
3.0.73 June 2007	Variable Draws in Draw Wizard The Draw Wizard helps you set up regularly occurring date-based variable draws. Notice to Proceed Report Added report for issuing a Notice to Proceed to a contractor. Negative Numbers in Change Orders Change order items can contain negative quantities for removing items from a contract. Option to Select Printer You can enable an option for Housing Developer Pro to prompt for a printer selection when printing reports.

Bid Wizard A wizard helps you enter bids step-by-step. Draw Wizard A wizard walks you through creating a draw schedule and design. Tablet-Friendly Inspection Input Full-screen grid with quick-edit quantity and addendum areas allows you to perform inspections on-site, faster than before. This addition is especially helpful for Tablet PC users.
